INTERESTED VENDOR INFO

 The related committee must approve each potential vendor. You must be approved before you are accepted to sell at the market. Membership per calendar year is $35. Space rent is $40 a day for sites facing Esther St. and $30 a day for all other spaces. You must have a Washington State Business License, and applicable license and insurance certificates unless told otherwise. The spaces are 10’x10’. You are not required to come every weekend, but you are required to book in and out with the Market Master.

As an interested vendor for any category you must submit a letter of interest that must be received prior to the jury process. The letter should include: product description, your inspiration, your work experience in regard to your product, what makes your product unique, along with your business name, name, address, phone number and email address if available. Mail your letter of interest to Vancouver Farmers Market at PO Box 61638, Vancouver, WA 98666.

WHAT CAN BE SOLD: Agricultural & Nursery: fruits, vegetables herbs, flowers, and other agricultural and horticultural products, dairy products, wine, fish, shellfish, and fresh meats, as well as food items that are made by the vendor from raw ingredients.
-You are required to grow or produce at least 51% of what you sell. The other 49% MUST be grown in the states of Oregon, Idaho, or Washington and be purchased DIRECTLY from the grower.

-Produce or nursery products grown by another farm MUST be labeled with city, county, and the state it was grown in.

-Produce vendors, regardless of their farm location, are not required to have a WA State Business License to sell their own products at the VFM. They are required to obtain a federal tax ID number and to follow state and federal tax guidelines.

We are currently NOT accepting Jewelry artisan vendors.

  • Products must be juried and approved by a panel of jurors before selling at the market.
  • Vendor must obtain WA State Master Business License. A city of Vancouver Business License is not required. Department of Licensing (360) 664-1400 or www.wa.gov/dol
  • The product must be of original workmanship of the vendor and must demonstrate high quality Artisan workmanship and be safe and durable for its intended use.
  • Jury will cost $20 non-refundable, and products can be juried up to 3 times. If however you make an appointment and do not show for the time specified you will owe an extra $10 every time you do not show in addition the $20 and be placed at the bottom of the list, the next time you want to attend a jury session.
  • DON’T FORGET YOUR LETTER OF INTEREST AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

 
The jury process is:
Jurying is by reservation only.Please contact the artisan chair via emailor call 360-737-8298 for an appointment.

  • There is a $20 non-refundable jurying fee for all new applicants. This fee only applies to first time jurying. There will be no charge for re-jurying and for current members of the market who want to jury in a new product line.
  • You will set up your items and leave the jury area. We do not jury your display, only your product.
  • You must bring six (6) finished items of each medium that you want to have juried.
  • You must provide pictures of the process you use to arrive at your finished product. A written description of the process and the materials used is also required. The more information you can give the jurors on paper and film, the easier it is for them to arrive at a decision.
  • You will be notified in writing within 7 days of the result(s).

WHAT CAN BE SOLD:

Hot/Fresh Food - prepared by the vendor, generally consumed at the market.

Prepared Food -  processed foods generally prepared for off-site consumption, such as sausages, baked good, jam, and sauces.
